I went clubbing...for the 1st time in my life.
This post is so not going to be seen by my parents. They'll kill me if they do. But they are computer illiterate. So i'll probably be safe unless someone kaypo and tell my parents.
Okay, this is how it went on a friday evening. It all started with an SMS from my friends asking to gather for a drink at Wine Bar. Being the INNOCENT me, i thought Wine Bar is some sort of a "high class" drink-wine bar place, like CHIJMES. Since we haven't meet in a while, i guess it's time i make myself available for the gathering for some chit chat session.
Our meeting place was at Dhoby Ghaut station, so i really didn't know we are going Clarke Quay area, notorious for night parties. "There we reached Wine Bar", they said. But i saw ZOUK so prominently displayed. This is definitely not WHINE BAR. I felt cheated.
First impression of that place, lup sup (dirty in hokkien) and bengish lianish. Cos i saw people smoking, hanging around, squatting and sitting along the road pavements etc. However, i would say those impressions were soon quelled when i went further in to the Wine Bar. People dressed nicely, not that kind of HOT sexy type where you will nosebleed upon seeing them duh.
Wine Bar was full house. So there wasn't any seats for us. Then someone suggested going into Phuture. Which was @.@ COSTLY. I totally have no idea we need to pay "Enterence Fee" just to go in!! Kaoz.
Phuture was up there if you see, and Zouk was downstairs. The crazy heptic lasers and lights were depicted in the picture above. You know how crazy it was. Music at MAX VOLUME, drink like there's no tomorrow, and wasting my money away into the sewage.
I pay to get drunk. I drink and i pee thereafter. Just for the opportunity to rub with the people in the club?? I am not saying that none of us should do this. I am already at a age to make my own decisions. The obligation is mine. Once in a while is ok. But seriously, this wouldn't be the right place to chill and relax. It is more for horny kids who want a quick fix of enjoyment.
Such form of entertainment is not for the faint hearted. See what damages i got just from that 1 faithful night:
1. I lost my pureness to clubbing.
2. Spent $33 for enterance fee + $29 for miscellaneous drinks + $15 transport fares
TOTAL = $77 whopping dollars
3. On the spot partial deafness, acoustic trauma which may slowly become permanent.
4. I kena touched. Oh my sexy-precious-body !!!
5. Stomach, Liver and kidney damages.
6. Claustrophobia.
7. Lack of sleep. Wrinkles coming out. Die liaoz..
The party ended at 4am. I was bending-knee and nodding-head all the while to create the
"i-am-dancing-to-the-music" movement. Tiring you know!
I was in the state of clear mind after everything. Previously a~lil sober from the drinks they forced it down my throat. I got super hungry and went to eat Roti Prata. Couldn't sleep. Dunno why. Read a bit of text for my exam next Wednesday. Then snoozed. ZzZzZz
Unless you are from a well-incomed family or having your own earnings, this kind of entertainment is not worth spending. If you really have to "relieve" yourself, restrict such entertainment to once or twice a month thingy. It's good for you (moneywise) and your future (healthwise).
AND if you ask me whether i will go again, I WILL ONLY GO IF I NEVER HAVE TO PAY ENTERENCE FEE!!! Damn it. It's so freaking expensive. The fact that i hold the card below entitles me free entry to all 3 places, and i still unknowingly went to pay, is just too ridiculous.
There's still this ringing sound in my ear that refuse to go away. Argh!
