Brief recap on my 1st half of July :)
- Asian Youth Games 2009 Volunteer as a Buggy Driver @ Orchid Country Club

- Back to school
My personal views on the AYG volunteer, just in case you wish to join next year's Youth Olympic Games:
If you are considering volunteering yourself to help out in the games next year, (there are many different functions and roles that you could be assigned, no choosing btw) you need to be very free. READ: VERY FREE. If the word "volunteer" never even strike your mind, i suggest you drop the idea.
You have to be open for such events, meeting with people of different ages and accepting challenges that may come along while on duty. You will not be paid, that is, the spirit of volunteerism. However, you will receive some souvenirs, certificate of appreciation after the end of it, not forgetting the countless experiences you may garner. Frankly speaking, they are useless to me, except for memory sake. If not for my friend, i would have dropped out from AYG2009.
As mentioned earlier, you got to be free (nothing better to do) as much time will be wasted. It is rather pointless to join i bemoaned. Of cos, you have the privilege to watch the competition live. 5 days passed quickly, luckily.
Met a Vice President of Deutsche Bank (i shall not disclose his field of occupation), SMU undergrad and etc etc. They gave me their name cards, which sadly, i don't have one for exchange. Appreciation dinner at Singapore Indoor Stadium with the concert performance of Stefanie Sun Yan Zi. Her tickets were all sold out. Imagine watching her full rehearsal concert for free. Grandiose extravagant show put up by her.
Ok, enough of AYG2009. Finally over. Not gonna waste my time for the upcoming YOG2010. I have better plans to do.
Finally my mouse has been shipped! Weighing at 1.90Lbs = 861.825503Grams (i think this mouse is quite fat =x), he/she had crossed 3 cities in the US and is still in transit (as at time of posting). I hope he/she comes to Singapore in 1 piece for my testing and experiment! Muahahahahahaa. Gender still undetermined though.
If you are interested to track my mouse and share the joy with me, you can go to www.ups.com and enter this tracking number: 1Z665F330302262713
Stayed tuned!
